Pediatric Feeding Therapy

What Is Feeding Therapy?

Pediatric feeding therapy is a specialty service to help children who have trouble eating, drinking, or swallowing. At the Center for Pediatric Therapy, we focus on helping your child overcome feeding challenges and create healthy eating habits. Our occupational and/or speech-language therapists work together with you and your child to find out what’s causing the feeding issues and create a personalized treatment plan. We promote a positive atmosphere during mealtimes and encourage enjoyable experiences with food.

Our therapists use various techniques, including engaging sensory activities, oral motor exercises and behavioral support, in order to gradually introduce new foods and encourage your child to explore a variety of food options. We may also use special tools to help your child eat more easily and safely. On this journey, we’ll be here for you and your child, providing the support and education to make mealtimes enjoyable and healthy.
